Hello.
I was just given this by my father-in-law ( a sign of acceptance?). A 1970 Omega Geneve
It used to belong to his father in law.
Case is very worn, crystal and crown also, but the dial is crisp as the morning sun!
Have found crown and crystal in Otto's shop, but I would like to find a nice crisp case that is not so worn. Are the hard to come by? It is a 20 micron doublè case.

I can't tell anything about the case, from that photo, other than it looks like has been polished quite a bit. Is the plating flaking anywhere? For my money, I'd replace the crystal (try buffing first, if you haven't, unless there's a crack) and the crown but would leave the case; it's a gift, after all. Unless, of course, this is a test by your father-in-law to see how quickly you want new and shiny things--if you get my drift.

Hehehehe. I catch your drift! It is worn, very worn, so the base metal shows very well. Crystal must be replaced, it has a few crakcs in it, and the crown is not Omega. We'll what happens.
