I'm a unique young lady with watch obsession and I have a passion for sports cars too. I know, a bit unusual.
Bond LE's tend to go with new films, or anniversaries. Congrats on the middle aged dude bait response, I'm sure that'll get you some interesting attention.
I'll get a post going to establish my Omega fandom cred and an introduction later on, but I wanted to post on this. I've heard some stuff about a Bond diver, as well. I'm particularly interested in rumors about this watch, because I have a window set for my next big purchase, and I'm anxious to see if the release date of this watch will make it a contender. I've heard: 2500 mvmt White wave dial SMP case I heard rumors back when I was fishing for early leaks on the Trilogy. Heard a couple of other things too, but want to play close to the vest, so as not to talk out of turn.
Watch is called Commander, so i heard. (as in Commander Bond) Heard its launching next week with a white dial. I heard it maybe an AT and not a 300. Should be in stores same day as launch. But these are all rumors so take it for what they are.
Is the 2500D a reliable movement since the divers have not turned to master chronometer? Or would that hold back customers to wait for the latest technology as opposed to older? Thanks
Everything I have read online & on this forum so far is very favorable to the 2500D...some even say almost on par with 8400. The previous versions less so. The 8400 is a bigger movement, and those watches tend to be bigger/thicker. The 2500D is slimmer according to most sources/reviewers and fits neatly in the SMP case. I'm trying to remember how it was phrased exactly, but I can't even say horologist...much less 'splain it.
