Can anybody recommend how to get the battery replaced in my 3yr old Omega Seamaster, the small version. Not sure I feel happy about sending it off with Royal Mail! I'm Lake District based UK. Many thanks.

@Alpha should be able to help out once he has a look at this. Or one of the other UK members will be only too happy to point you in the right direction.

    Hi Mandy,

I'm afraid the watchmakers I know of don't have a public presence. If you are set on not posting how about -
    George Banks Jewellers

    18 Ash street
    Bowness-on-Windermere
    Cumbria
Don't know of them and as they are Omega AD they will be more expensive but may be worth it for convenience and piece of mind.

Can I suggest you change your title to include "UK" or "England" (or wherever the lakes district is), that might encourage other locals to have a look.

Jim, i still dont know if that is England, Scotland, Wales or northern ireland!

Of course, i could google it. But my point was, the title of the thread isnt necessarily going to attract Britons!

Sorry, it was a bit "tongue in cheek", but the OP did say Lake District UK so I assumed everybody would know of it.

And you know what happens when one assumes don't you. Assume makes an ass out of U and me.

Hello I have an amazing excuse! It's my first time on this Forum and I'm obviously not that clued up, but luckily there are other more savvy members to help out. Thanks for pointing that out anyway. M
