I recently completed my second article on Lemania watches purchased by the South African Airforce in the 1970's and 80's. This particular article was inspired by my passion for vintage military watches and by the limited information on this watch. This article covers everything from dial variations to caseback engravings, and tries to justify why what was thought to be first issue dial variation is actually second..........Hope you enjoy the read and please leave comments. Many thanks

****There is also a new article on the Lemania 5012****. This article covers ALL the details of the Lemania 5012 issued to the South African Airforce in the early 1980's. Never before has this watch been documented in such detail, covering EVERYTHING from caseback engravings to minute font differences in the bezels. Please read and enjoy, and look forward to all your comments.

Extremely interesting and well-researched article on a fascinating corner of the military watch universe. Would someday love to own one of the SAAF Lemanias, though the price escalation in recent years has made that highly unlikely. Any plans to write about the SAAF-issued Seiko chronographs (7A28 and 7A38) from the mid- to late-1980s? Cheers from Cape Town.

Hi, Fellow ZA Guy! Thanks for your kind words! My next article is on the lemania Mono-pushers. I would like to complete these first and then will move onto the Seikos. Below are some pics of the Seikos (One unfortunately not in pic) and a few other SAAF watches. Please send me your number, would love to connect.
