As a Tissot Collector, I was curious about the Tissot 817 history.
I also share your point of view regarding the fact that Lemania was producing model for other brand like Tissot and also Omega.
It was not really others brand regarding the fact that Lemania belong to the SSIH almost from the beginning.
When you look at the Omega 176.010 yachting and the Tissot Navigator it's exactly the same case, initially for Omega and which caseback has been erased for the Tissot. But crystal is still Signed omega for the Tissot.
So why Non military version are existing ? is it a way to amortize the production costs ?
