New arrival in my collection : a circa 1914 unusual Omega wristwatch

    This one has just joined my collection :

    The enamel dial is intact, hands looks correct to me. Of course the crown is not, I'll have to replace it.

    It is a circa 1914 35mm silver wristwatch with a 13lignes Inside :

    OK the caliber is dirty, I will clean it.

    So many hallmarks on both hinged casebacks, impossible to miss that is is silver!

    But what makes it interesting to me, is that is is a half hunter case, which is unusual for a wristwatch :

    here you can see the two hinges for the caseback and the bezel

    When the outer bezel is open, you can see the inner one, with the crystal.

    This case makes it look really beefier than the standard 13 lignes from the same period and I find it particularly attractive

    I would be interested in seeing the other half hunter wristwatches that members here have.

    Congratulations!
    At 35mm this will be one that you can strap on the wrist on a special occasion.

    I can't wait to investigate all those hallmarks, they will tell a story, I'm sure.
