I recently had the chance to buy this scubapro 500 tuna from the son of the original owner.
The watch was all original with the original Isofrane strap. It was in good running condition. The shroud is in very good condition with little wear. Dial and hands have developped a very nice patina.
Very nice engraving on the caseback. And yes, it is a heavy watch.

The only problem was a cracked crystal.
I got a replacement crystal from jake at international watch works.

Then the watch was shipped to Holland for a complete overhaul. The new crystal was fitted, new gaskets and pressure tested. Realy happy with the result.

usually the hands and indices are different tritium. it's pretty unusual to have the same tritium on the 12/9/6 indices as well as the hands, which were sourced by brands

Super cool pick up! Was the overhaul expensive?

    Thank you. Very happy

I have seen so many variations of aging on the dial and hands. Some tunas i saw with all the indices in the same material and then just the hands in another colour.
I have seen the normal Scubapro 500 with the same aging as on my tuna aswell.
I supose that Scubapro sourced their parts from other manufacturers.

    It was not cheap .
    No major parts needed replacement.
The only big issue it had was the crystal. It has been replaced, but i still have the original one.
