Today I picked up the third Omega in my collection but the 11th I’ve owned. This lovely 1950’s bumper.

if anyone can tell me a bit about it I’d be interested to know. I have a seamaster 30 and a Connie so this will fit in nicely.

What I know about the watch. From the serial number it dates to 1950.

the movement is a 351 bumper, early automatic.
Omega calls the reference a seamaster but it doesn’t have seamaster anywhere on it.
That’s about all I know.

blued seconds hand😁
possibly an original "bowler hat"" crown
rough looking movement

Apparently, Seamasters in this era didn't always say "Seamaster" on the dial (I found the same thing for a ref 2577 I recently acquired). But for me, it's a Seamaster. FWIW, I would have expected Dauphine hands, but who knows with Omega.

The movement shot was after the find and prior to service. It looks better now but could be better.

No sir, those appear to be leaf, or feuille, hands as far as I can see. Not Dauphine.

Dauphine hands are also shown on the OVD page for your reference (as shown below, slightly different dial shown), and you would generally expect them with the type of markers on your dial. If you do a google images search on your reference, virtually every example will have Dauphine hands. However, as I noted previously, Omega is certainly known for making exceptions to all rules.

Correct. I think I had a brain fart when typing it.
