I have a 1958 Seamaster. And I am looking for a main spring bridge. According to the guy working on my watch, they no longer make this part; so I thought I would post here to see if anyone had any ideas.

There is a case reference # 2975, including 2846 2848 dual ref #.

Well you should be searching for a Cal 501 or a parts compatible other caliber, for parts. Either on eBay or other sources

Assuming your watch has a Cal. 501, and assuming the part in question is the barrel bridge (there is no part called a mainspring bridge), it is still available from Omega. Part number is 72205001001 but it's not cheap. I would also ask them why this bridge needs replacing - if the hole for the barrel arbor is worn for example this can be repaired with a bushing.

You are fortunate it's still available, as not many parts are for this series really. Although finding donor watches for parts is not a bad idea, be aware that there is a chance that if the part you need is a high wear item, it's likely going to be worn in the donor watch as well.

Cheers, Al

Thank you. I don't know much about watch parts, or fixing a watch, so all your help is appreciated.

You can't as these are not for sale to the general public from Omega. If your watchmaker has a parts account with Omega, they can...

I guess he doesn't, or I imagine otherwise he would. I'll ask him.

And a younger seamster. 1958 is way too old.
It is quite a nice watch, and I didn't pay too much for it.
