I need a little help if anyone had any thoughts. I’m restoring a ladies 1950s cal 252. Got everything cleaned, lubricated, and reassembled. Balance is spinning but amplitude is low. I did notice that the extended pivot on the third wheel might be a TAD “unstraight”. The driving wheel fit ok but not seated perfectly horizontal. The balance wheel will spontaneously stop and then it’ll start when nudged again. Clearance is good around all of the gears and nothing is rubbing. Everything on the balance complete looks good and has a new hairspring. Does that third wheel sound like the problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
