    Hi guys,
Just found this 145-012 for sale at 4 200€ in France.
The bezel is not the right one and the seconds clokwise neither ...
What should be the correct price and do you see other potential defects ?

    wrong chronograph hand

    later replacement winding crown

wrong bezel, should have a DON

this could be amended easily (but costly - bezel!!)

what turns me off is the tired dial - I do not like these pale (nearly white) luminous plots...

I think you could find better examples for that kind of money, but I may be wrong...

The flat bottom chrono hand is correct for this reference, the 145-012 used both style chrono hands. It looks like the lume has been completely removed from the dial. I personally find that a huge negative as I think part of the appeal of these late 60's Speedy's is the patina on the dial. I don't have any comment on value.

    What he said...
Given so many issues, and possibly more hidden by poor photographs, it's difficult to ascertain a price. Just over a year ago I bought a 105.012-65 with the incorrect bezel/hands/crown and dirty plots for $3,400 USD / €3,000, and had great difficulty finding anyone who had interest in it when my interest faded. I would guess a less desirable reference with no lume and the same issues would be "worth" about the same today if you plan to keep it.

    Agreed.
For the most part, the members of this forum seek out original watches, pointing out deficiencies with particular examples. Some deficiencies may be acceptable depending on your personal thresholds. Perhaps you're okay with light polishing, tool scratches on the back, replacement crowns, wrong bezel, etc.
But this one you found has many issues that would interest no collector. The watch has the look and is presumably functional, but lacks so much originality that most admirers of the model will run from it.
Study http://speedmaster101.com. But as we always suggest, check here before purchase.
