Can you show the portion that required sanding of US1035 and modding of the 1035 clasp? I am considering doing same vs swapping just the cover.
Sorry for the slow response @08M6

Sure. You have to sand down the first piece that connects to the clasp on the logo side of the clasp. As you can see here I wasn't exactly delicate about the process and scratched the first link a bit. If I did it again I would likely pull out the pin to just do the connector end. You then also need to pry the small tube that holds the pin open a bit wider to get the pin through on the clasp end of it.

or is it a difference in different references?
As far as I know all Chronomaster references have 20mm lug width.

Edit / correction: Chronometer Only mentions lug widths of 20mm and 21mm, depending on case generation and the internet shows many examples in 19mm.

Nah, mine is 19mm for sure atleast and I have seen several listed as 19mm even though the majority is listed as 20mm.
But I thought maybe people listing them as 20mm because they fitted 20mm straps on them and just have not measured them!

Thanks for this information!
You can of course be right. Unfortunately I don't have my Chronomaster Only book to hand at the moment. 😉

We need to investigate this further, my Chronomaster is at service at the moment so cant measured the lugs exactly but it sits on a 19mm Tropic strap and had it on another 19mm strap before so pretty sure its pretty close to 19mm 😀

Ok, for any one with a US1711 this clasp is a perfect match in terms of size and design so you either just switch the cover or switch the whole clasp to this genuine omega 1162/173 clasp:

Edit: a few links
https://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-New-...379971?hash=item3b4b4c92c3:g:p4cAAOSwdCVexvN-

https://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-New-...297604?hash=item342cd29504:g:~BUAAOSw7t9exvPF

Its more expensive than the last one but it’s the whole clasp and the last one did not match the US1711.

Thank you SickBoy. I just grabbed the second-to-last one!

Mine is a perfect 20mm.
In case they changed the lug width across time, mine is a Nivada V92, ref 9989 8222

YES!! Should work out then, great tip

many thanks for sharing.. haha this guy is selling its stock like hot cakes, 6 after I bought it (couple of hours later).

It was in the mail today! Crazy fast in these times to Amsterdam, few days only.

Supper happy with the clasp, really completes the look I was going for with the US Holzer.

Hi @all

I am considering buying a US1171 bracelet for my Speedmaster. While researching I found the following thread:
https://omegaforums.net/threads/fois-speedy-on-uncle-seiko-1171-bracelet.115286/

Does anybody noticed major scratches after mounting the hollow end link bracelet of US?

Thanks & cheers
I have the 1171 on my FOIS and I can't see the scratches yet. I'm sure they're there but as long as I don't have a strap on it, the scratches are covered.

Hi,
If you like the US1171, why don't you buy the original from Omega? Still available, perfect fit, with Omega Logo on the clasp and easy to mount without scratches ;-)

Here is one for sale at Of: https://omegaforums.net/threads/fs-...9mm-lug-ck2998-fois-1125-617-end-link.100072/

Probably due to price difference. US is less than $100 while an Omega will be like $700+

I don't believe it will be that high. The more complex 3010/511, five-rown BOR, is "only" $450.

Exactly 😉
And I heard, that the genuine „modern“ omega 1171 end links doesn‘t fit perfectly to modern speedmasters?

But does it fit the FOIS? Are the end links 19mm?

No, you need the similar looking 1125 bracelet for that, also still available from a boutique.

You may be able to mount it without scratches but I haven’t seen hollow links from any maker that don’t scratch the lugs/case during normal wear to some degree. Most people with both have stated that the Uncle Seiko end links are a significantly better fit than Omegas and if you spend a few minutes with 500 sandpaper you’ll dull any edges that might cause issues.
