Bought my Pro on leather strap, so US flat link was a great option! I've found it easier to install with some thinner spring bars than the ones supplied or the Omega ones.
It was a pain trying to install the US 1171 on my FOIS.

it’s a double edged sword. They are very difficult to install, but I think that is because the end link is such a good fit and tolerances are so tight.

Really a great fit, thinner springbars are working for me!

It is a great fit one it’s on. Now I’m afraid to change it out because it’ll be too hard to put it back on.

Received my 20 mm brushed/polished flat link bracelet yesterday, thanks @Uncle Seiko . It spent a month on the road from California to Norway. Sadly my 145.022-69 Speedmaster is at Simon Freese's for a service, so I won't be able to mount the bracelet for a while, but looking forward to when I do and will post pictures then.

My watch returned from a service this friday and I was finally able to attach the flat link bracelet. I really enjoy my watches on bracelets, so it's really nice to have this option. The solid end links have some play on the sides, about 0.5 to 1.0 mm, and I didn't expect it to be that much, but I'd rather have them too loose than not have them fit at all. I like the feel of the bracelet, and really like the micro adjustment option on the clasp which makes it easier to dial in the correct size. Now to get the bracelet weathered a bit to match the watch itself...

I’m partial, love speedies. Pretty much much all iterations. I think they still look great on broken guitar strings, used dental floss, whatever.
My fave is the 1450.
Mine is pretty loose after 30+ years of wear. So my vote is for a nice muscular puffy loaved 1450 inspired design. It looks and feels great!

I'm curious to know whether anybody has managed to squeeze a 19mm variant (flat link or Holzer) onto a Polerouter yet?

Hey guys, I am looking to produce a few bracelets for the Speedy to meet the high demand for alternatives. I just made the Beads of Rice bracelet and am looking to also make the classic Flat Link and maybe President style (1171?).

The problem is that I am mostly a Seiko guy and don't know a whole lot about Omega, other than I love my Speedy and wish I could venture more into the brand as a collector. I had some good feedback about my BOR but some complained that the clasp should have been different.

So, just gathering ideas at this point, I guess. If you have any thoughts as to what bracelet should be made, what kind of clasp, etc. feel free to share. While I know there are many purists out there, I am sure many would also like some alternatives.

Mine arrived today, I am going to play around with them after the kids are put to bed.

Uncle Seiko,

Is the 18mm end link on the cards for the Speedy 38 ? I am going to grind the 19mm BOR to try fit it to the wife's lady speedy. The dimensions look spot on except for the 1mm width difference.

Cheers

Karl

So which Omega clasp is the easiest to adapt to the US flat link on a FOIS? What is the Omega part number to order whatever it is?
Many thanks in advance, love the US flat link on my FOIS, purchased the brushed, thinking about ordering the polished/ brushed after seeing one in person.

Many thanks, so I read back and is 117ST1171 the number?

For the entire clasp, yes. However, you only need the clasp cover.

Worth a try, done.
Should work out. Good luck receiving if you're in the US... I have a bracelet that got here from Australia and then it disappeared. 🙁

Seller states items are in Canada, didn't think Canada to the US would be a issue on an inexpensive item.

OK, kids, for ten of you, this is your lucky day.

I measured mine and it matches his. However, if what you get doesn't fit, TFB, not my fault.
Great tip! Just ordered one, which size does your bracelet taper to? Ordered a 1171 clasp which does not fit. It tapers to 14mm (internally). Hope this one is 16mm on the inside.

Mine is 16mm on the inside and I had it on an 1171 bracelet previously. You can use that clasp cover if you wanted....
