I wonder how many 31 of 1706's they made? 100K? 200K?
Sorry to burst your bubble but Omega never made anything like this.

Yes. Really.

Many years of experience.
Seems like a lot of detail for a fake, would a fake still work after not been used for ten years?

And yet not enough detail to fool anyone who's ever seen a real Omega watch. 😗

what do those numbers mean?

Nothing, because it's a fake.

I admit I know nothing about watches, so any info is much appreciated

The only info you need, is that this is a fake Omega. Not even based on a real model. It's a pile of junk.

Do the right thing, destroy it with a hammer.

Here's an existential question for vintage watch collectors.........................does a fake watch run better than a real one 😉

Typically, it means that only 1706 were made and this one is #31 of 1706. This one is a fake, sadly.
There are very good replicas out there to the point where we argue on very small details. This one is not even close.
The fact that it still runs doesn't surprise me. Chinese make hundreds of millions of watches per year if not billions.

I understand your pain. You think you have something of value only to get kicked between the legs.
My mother in law had a fake Rolex kept in a box for many years. Dug it out and showed it to me. I had a hard time telling her. She wanted proof, so I opened it and showed her the difference with help of the web. She still was in denial for months.

Really? What makes u say that?
Every single detail about the piece.

Some of the Chinese fakes are almost impossible to tell from a real one. 10 years is nothing some older European fakes have decent quality AS movements in them. AS was used in some Rolex models. If I cared enough I could figure out which seagull movement this one has from the date complication, alas I don’t.

Numbers mean nothing on this piece but it implies it’s number 31 of a limited edition, quite common on fakes from a decade ago.

If you still have some doubt, I will confirm that this is a total fake. Not a replica of an actual Omega model, but just a sort of fantasy watch with the word Omega put on it. It has every obvious hallmark of a fake, and doesn't look like any known Omega. I'm shocked that you are still debating the experts in the forum. There is absolutely no question about it, it's a piece of junk. Only someone who knows nothing about Omega, or high quality Swiss watches in general, could think this is a real Omega for one second.

Would a fake be so "detailed" as to have fake Ruby's in the watch?
Yes, we have real synthetic jewels in fake watches.

I don't debate, I value all information and appreciate all the feed back, never thought that such detail could go into a fake watch
