·The dial is all wrong ! The apex of the large triangle at the 12 o o'clock position is too close to the Coronet. In your example ' T Swiss T " is printed inside minutes 29 & 31 and slightly off-centred ( In the true dial the centred " T Swiss T " extends about 0.5 mm on either side of minutes 29 & 31 ) , the GMT hand is marginally oversized , the length of the Second , Minute and Hour Hand are perhaps 5-10% longer. Maybe it's the angle & lighting but the exaggerated faux patina on the lume plots are overdone
If you like the so called "Vintage Inspired Maxi Dial " design of the Steve McQueen Exp II with the distressed leather strap then by all means go ahead & purchase it at a reasonable price. You could flip it later for another timepiece for an equivalent value but You cannot fool a Rolex dealer or a seasoned Seller if you claim you want Top Dollar for the Steve McQueen Expl II in your possession
The Real Deal Steve McQueen Ref 0ne-Six-five-five Explorer II would fetch a price tag of between USD15 K-USD 20 K
I remember well because two years ago in Kuala Lumpur a Chinese businessman paid RM 70 K for an authentic McQueen Ref 1655 in hard cash in bundles of 100 ringgit bills !!
