Hi! I'm new to this forum and I'm a new owner to this good looking Omega Constellation 168.018 from 1969.
I have been looking for a watch for that year for a while, and when this showed up on a local ad, I had to get it.
I did not know too much about Constellations then, but have tried to figure out which one it is by searching the internet. This dial is really hard to find, but occasionally I find one. Always without an explanation. I think the watch looks great, and I figure it must be rare.... thoughts anyone, please share! Regards.

Hi Ole and welcome.

Congrats on your find and on your purchase! Very interesting and cool dial! First time I see something quite like it.

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with it. The case looks super sharp. There is no shot from the case back and from the movement but from what we can see, it looks all good, original and well preserved! The only thing might be the crown... but difficult to see without a closer shot.

Best wishes,

Rudi

It usually ends up being just that, and a secondary angle would conclude it, yet in that second photo the minute hand is blocking 🙁

Once bought a rectangle De Ville, later saw a crack in the windshield, it was devastating, but when it arrived, it ended up being just some white paint, the previous owner scuffed it on something white

Hi! Thanks for answering! The crystal, crown (original) and the dial is in superb condition. No marks at all. Its only the resolution on the pictures wich are poor, sorry! It has been to a check with a Omega dealer. He also commented that this was a dial he had never seen.

Very interesting Connie.
The dial edge style is usually only found on ‘blinged-up’ redials but I think yours is the real deal and somewhat uncommon.
The indices are great.
I, for one, would be interested in knowing more about the ‘69 special’ you refer to if you can remember where you read about it.

I have found one other like yours - but with a linen dial.
same MOY configuration.
unfortunately no serial, so can’t confirm if it’s from ‘69.

Thanks for your point of view!
My watch has the same linen dial, but does not show on my poor pictures.
I also found a constellation with the same dial on Chrono24, in 18 kt gold.

Here it also refers to the "special series" from 1969.....
