Need help with authenticity of this seamaster

I'm considering bidding for this on eBay. It ticks all the boxes I've been looking for in a vintage seamaster. Some cursory digging on the serial and caseback numbers, and on the movement, seems to all look OK. But I'm not an expert and would like to know if your keen eyes spot anything that looks non-genuine or potentially defective from the photos. I'm sure it would need a service/cleaning from my local watchmaker but hopefully nothing is too wrong with it. All the seller says is that "it runs."

To be honest the relatively low starting bid and the good condition of the dial make me a bit suspicious. But I can't spot any obvious tells of a fake.

For my eye i do not spot anything non-genuine. I am not an expert on the dial if was "celaned" or not..looking forward for the experts opinions but also the price do not a very low starting bid and even if was starting for a dollar the price could go up in the last few seconds..

I see no issues.

Seems like the dial has been repainted. Which is evident in the way the white paint encroaches on the indices, logo and typography.

Dial is fine, except when ridiculously over magnified. Appears to have been sold at $450, reasonable since it likely needs servicing.

That’s often a red flag but in this case I think the dial’s fine.

Hi everyone,

I recently came across a vintage Omega wristwatch and I’m trying to verify its authenticity as well as get a sense of its value. Here are the details:

  • Model: Omega steel sector dial wristwatch, circa 1935
  • Caliber: 30T2
  • Movement serial number: 8,970,825 (~1934–1936)
  • Case number: 9,833,209 (same era)
  • Asking price: €500

I’ve attached photos of the dial, case back, and movement. Could anyone with experience with vintage Omegas:

  1. Confirm if this watch is likely authentic?
  2. Give an opinion on whether €500 is a reasonable price for a watch in this condition?

Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

IMO, it is inappropriate to re-post your question many times in different threads. You made one thread on the watch, and that is enough.
