Need help with some ebay watches

I've decided I want to get a nice vintage watch. My original budget was $500 and I was looking at Omega's but I realized I wasn't going to get anything I liked in that price range so I bumped it up to 1k which opens up the door to possibly some old Rolex's. I found several ones I like on ebay but I know absolutely nothing about vintage Rolex's. What do you guys think about these?

Keep in mind that all of those watches are less than 35mm in diameter, which is pretty small. The third one in particular is only 30mm, which is tiny by today's standards.

To me, it looks like the first two have had their dials refinished, which is something you're going to run into a lot when dealing with older, less expensive Rolex models.

Yeah I saw the smaller size measurements. That's not a huge deal as I have tiny little girl wrists lol. My wrist is barely 6.5 around. The refinished dial is a deal breaker for me though. I want to find one with an original unfinished dial.

Keep in mind these are wind up examples. Like the energizer bunny that keeps going and going... You need to keep winding and winding..
The tube on these watches are known to go bad/stripping if excessive force is used to lock the crown in place. While these watches are "in running condition," if they begin to fail add $300-500 for a service, depending who you use.
I do not mean to discourage you but just to make you aware. I own a 6694 Precision that I use on occasion. I very nice secondary watch to change things around.
Good luck with your search!

Ok good info to know thanks. My father in law has a Submariner and I've owned a Tag and an Oris in the past but never a manual wind.

For 1k, u not gonna get much of a Rolex. Tudor though on the other hand has the pedigree but not the price tag. Just a thought.

I blame it on the autoconnect.
