·So, I have a chance to send 2 of my SeaMasters to Europe for hopeful servicing. I am sending along my 1960 14765 with its 550 movement and my 2828 with a 471 movement.
Now this is my issue, i have gone to Ofrei and placed the parts I was told I needed for the 14765 at its initial serving in my ownership, and also the one know issue with the 2828. The parts are as follows:
14765:
crystal
crown with female post
winding shaft (have not sourced it yet)
2828:
crown
here is a shot of what Ofrei has,
14765
Genuine Omega Crown White/Steel 8100/1053 with Separate Female Post 8100/1053W
Genuine Omega Crystal With White Tension Ring OME-CRY-734
2828
Genuine Omega Crown Yellow 069SX42023 8100/1016Y
Now I have looked at the 2828 and noticed the crystal is not original and the rotor appears to be rubbing. Perhaps the cause, not sure but with the distance and the short time, 28 days, that this would have to be done I am hesitant to not send a new Omega crystal also. Ofrei does not appear to have a crystal for the 2828.
So what would the real Omega part numbers of these parts be?
Anyone have then slightly cheaper than Oferi?
Is there a better way to find these part numbers?
Any an all information is greatly appreciated. I am trying to keep the cost down as my wife is not really happy with how much I am spending on servicing these watches.
Again, thanks in advance,
Rob
