Hi all !!!
I plan to buy it. Please, the OF experts can provide some advice on it. The dial looks fine to me, but the case is problematic. Also, what is the fair value?
Thanks all

I personally would want a better shot of the dial, taken looking straight on. The minute marks look a bit inconsistent from the side-angle shots provided. No movement/ inside caseback photos available?

Agreed. Can’t properly assess without better photos.

Case and case back look 5 digit reference. Dial looks like 4 digit reference. Open it up and see inside.

I asked them to send in some more crisp pictures. But they still sent some unclear photos. I felt something was not clear so I refused to buy it.

Picking up from that, should the 14381 not have the ChronometER-spelling, instead of ChronometRE? I'm not sure when exactly they changed that, the serial dates to ca. 1959 (one of the earliest examples of this ref) and if I remember correctly, the re-spelling didn't exist in the 60s. If it was available on the earliest 14381 produced is a question I'd have to pass to the pros here. 😀

Agreed.. would not expect to see this dial variant in a 14381. Movement seems okay so probably a dial swap.
