Hello! My father had these Omegas for about 10-12 years ( cant tell where exactly he bought it, possibly on some auction). Unfortunately I have not too much information about the subject but the next: Body is made of gold ( jeweler approved) 711 cal № 2651728 ref 167021 year of production is about 1970 ( my father told so) weight with strap ( strap is not original and quite light by the way) is about 48 gramms So Im very excited about the authencity cause Im thinking about to keep it for myself. Thank you in advance! P.s please excuse me if I made some mistakes in description - never had any issues with watches.
Mouvement is probably from 1968 but is the wrong one for an Constellation, should be an 712. But still a very nice piece to get from your father!
With high probability yes. This Ref should have a 712. But in such old mouvements you will not feel any difference in precision between a Chronometer and non chronometer grade mouvement. Just enjoy it. You could also order an extract from the archives of Omega to know in which watch this mouvement was.
Yes it does look that way. A 711 is a non chronometer movement and your watch being a 167.021 should contain a chronometer rated 712 movement. This is also backed up by the chronometer wording on the dial. The testing criteria for a chronometer is much stricter https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/COSC
