Need help with my great-Grandad’s watch!

Hey guys,

My great grandad used to wear this omega Seamaster back in the 80s, and it’s been in super rough shape ever since he passed on (so for a decade or more). I recently got my first job, and wished to get the watch repaired. I’ve been quoted a price of $275, but I can’t accurately identify the model to be able to research and see what it’s worth / what it is. Please help?

it seems like a ref no. 13390 with dauphine hands, but I can’t be sure (please note that the belt is aftermarket)
Thanks in advance!

Great heirloom. Get it serviced (the cost mentioned is more than fair considering the condition). I’d buy a new strap if I were you. If this is a strict valuation question, then I’d say it’s worth very (emphasis on very) little given it’s current condition. Remove the case back for the serial and case number and you’ll know a lot more about the watch 😀

The reference number is engraved in the caseback, if you have it opened (it should have been for a repair quote) you can read it. I have a hunch you will find a 2xx caliber inside, a later iteration of the 30t2SC. Nice movement. Before agreeing to the repair price, be sure if the sweep hand (missing here) that will be fitted is genuine omega or aftermarket: the cost can be quite different, don't pay omega price for a generic hand. Same remark for crystal.
