And I forgot bollocksed, as in “He bollocksed that up” = he made a mess of that.
As well as, “ I got totally bollocksed last night” = I got really drunk last night.
Then there is “I’m bollocksed” = I’m tired

At least "having balls" is pretty universal.
It was used at least as far back as August 1937 when the immortal Joe Louis made the first defence of his Heavyweight Title against Tommy Farr.
Experts had underestimated Farr but i doubt Louis' trainer Jack Blackburn had.
Louis broke Farr's nose with his very first punch and cut the Welshman's face 4 times but Tommy bach wasn't discouraged.
At the end of the fight, which went the full 15 rounds an interviewer asked Louis what he thought of Farr.
"That boy's got big balls" was his answer which the prissy BBC didn't repeat :taunt:
Louis and Farr became friends after the fight and Farr said when ever he heard the name 'Louis' his nose started bleeding

Here’s the thing, if you’re having a few refreshments, and once suitably refreshed, staggered outside and turned around….that pub would look perfectly straight!

I used to go there with my dad late '60s to early '70s. Another pub I'd go to with him but cannot remember where, same area, had Davenport's on tap. Though mainly known for home delivery of bottled beer draught Davenport's was a good drop. The car rallying club I was in met at the New Swan, Netherton, Prop. Mrs Doris Pardoe http://breweryhistory.com/wiki/index.php?title=Doris_Pardoe,_Old_Swan_Brewery who brewed her own ale. And very good it was too. The other main motor club I competed under, Dudley & District MC, met at the Saracen's Head in Dudley. Hanson's Brewery, another fine brew -- non of your M&B or Grotney's rubbish!

Saracens head was a great pub back in the day and also the 3 crowns which adjoined the Hansons brewery in Dudley. Happy days

I've been calling my 5 year old daughter a dick lately and she thinks it's completely hilarious, I really enjoy extending her lexicon.

Ah yes, the "brewery tap" would always be good. In their later years my mum and dad would take holidays in Southwold. My mum for the Suffolk coast and my dad for the Sole Bay Inn next door to Adnams Brewery. I have not drunk a better pint of Mild than in there. Mild beer being a Black Country (and, I have been told Manchester) speciality.

I did once ask for a pint of mild in Greene King pub in Cambridge, just within GK territory. The landlord said "Are you sure?" And yes, he was right, it was not good.

Spreading pubs a little wider, anyone else been to the Tickell Arms in Whittlesford, Cambridgeshire? Extra points if it was during the reign of the late unlamented Squire Tickell :D

It can even get the locals in trouble if they don’t know the lingo…

What’s the “oi” thing - is that like, “hey,” like when you’re trying to get someone’s attention?

Yes, but if drawn out and rising could be “wtf are you up to?”
