Hello, I recently aquired an omega seamster Deville. Since the case is "monoblock" I had to split the stem in order to remove the movement. But I dont't know how to put the stem in place now. I have the two pieces of stem in front of me, the watch, can anyone help me put it together again? Thanks in advance, Clément
Hi Clément, welcome to ΩF. I can't help you with your stem problem but maybe N2FHL can. FYI: "Monoblock" is a term used to describe single channel amplifiers for high end stereos. "Monocoque" is the word used for front loading watch cases.
Not exactly sure what you mean, but is the "female" end of the stem out of the movement as well? If so, that would need to be re-installed into the movement (inserted and a small screw that clamps it in). Then you can insert the male end of the stem (that has the crown) through the case into the female end. Do you have the proper tools (at least movement holder and screwdrivers)? Pictures always help get past verbiage / naming conventions...
Hello, Thanks a lot for your help! I have taken some picture. I have managed to put back together the stem : This way I can pull it back into the movement by pushing the button : But I don't know how to do this when it is in the case (no access to the "stem button") : Is this more clear? I'm supposed to put the stem together with the movement inside the case? How? Thanks again!! Clément
You keep the stem apart, put the end that goes in the movement in with the "button", install movement in case, then push the crown end into the other half of the stem (will snap straight in)
