I know it is a lot of $$$ and your first vintage Rolex...good news is that it gets easier!

Next thing you know, you will be effortlessly bidding on auctions with crappy pics, doing deals with buddies, and disregarding societal norms on what is "normal" spending on watches.

You have been warned...

Fellas...here it is! My very first vintage Rolex 😁.
Snatching this piece felt very good and so far I'm more than happy.

I want to thank you all (especially @ATWG @watchknut @TTG ) for taking your time and answering my dumb questions !!! I hope you understand how difficult and nervous one can be before pulling the trigger and step in to the vintage Rolex jungle. Santa was very generous this time 😉

Few first shots...Cheers!

Badass and congrats!

You took our advice, were smart, did your due diligence, and struck while the iron was hot...good for you.

Nothing is worse then giving advice and having people not take it. If you ever want to sell DIBS!!!

There, I said it, I am #1 in line!

Thank you guys!!! Very happy with this Christmas gift to my self. I was hunting this particular piece for more than two months. In the end we agreed on a trade (Speedy 861) + cash. Excited to wear this beauty for some time..

Many thanks again for the help & final push which indeed was needed..

Merry Christmas from Sweden!

Congratz. Welcome to the world of Vintage, I like it.
I personally don't think the hands are relumed, but TTG is pretty knowledgeable, so who knows.
I would just leave the hands as is, looks great, doesn't bother me.
Just be mindful that the cracked tritium might flake off and make it's way to the dial, and then into the movement.

Also Screw down your crown please 😝

My 1680 says Howdy doo

Congrats to a new 1675 owner just like me! I have the same journey as you with nayers and Sayers. But it's important to have your own judgement and you will never have 100% everyone in favour. I bought mine and despite some negative opinions, I am so happy with it. Enjoy the gorgeous watch!

Case is nice and thick, just needs to be sharpened up by LAWW. I would buy it in a heartbeat if you don't.

Fat case, great lume patina...hands, will those really hold you back?

Like tossing Cindy Crawford out of bed for that mole on her face.

The chamfers are still there, could just be honest wear, lugs look really fat and lug holes are sharp.

$6K? Shit man...I would pay a lot more than that.

decent amount of meat on the case. some would say recut, but i wouldnt, this watch can tell stories man!
