Hi guys, I‘m new here and have a question. My grandmother gave me an Omega watch which she said is from my Grandfather and it might be worth something. But I‘m usually not into watches, so I don‘t know which exact model it is and if it‘s worth something, so I help you guys can help me. I‘ll post pics in the thread.
I think this is the Omega Dynamic. Cant really tell much from your photos about the originality of your watch - but these go for around $500 in good condition on eBay
Here's a good write-up on this model: http://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.ca/2009/10/omega-geneve-dynamic-i-best-seller-of.html
Omega Dynamic either from the 60's with a supposedly 552 movement or, less probable, a 70's version with a 10xx movement. My bet is on the first hypotesis.
You don’t see these “stardust-y” gray dials come up all that often, so it seems more interesting to me than all the bullseye ones that do appear. If I were you, I would take it to a vintage-sympathetic watchmaker for a full service and start wearing it! It will be a nice remembrance of your grandpa! It’s not worth a fortune but it’s a very durable and comfortable watch. $500 will come and go 10,000 times in your life, but something your grandfather wore and you can too will probably only come your way once!
