I picked up a vintage chrono and the movement appears to be a Venus 210 but the shock protection on the balance staff looks different and under the balance wheel instead of the Venus shield and star there's a capital L

 

I found a French forum where this movement is identified as a Venus 188 so that question is answered. But I'm still confused about why there's no Venus marking under the balance wheel.
