Hello everybody i am new in this interesting Forum.

I absolutely fell in love with this beautiful timepiece and want to buy it for my 30th Birthday.

Unfortunately the seller has Not many Informations about the Watch. It is from the year 1965 and has a cal. 1010.

The dial is in almost perfect condition. Is it possible that it was reset?
I would be very thankfull for any Information so i can purchase the Watch without doubts.

Omega cal 1010 was introduced in the early 70s, so I'd pressure you meant to say 1975 instead of 1965.
I believe it to be a redial, I have not seen fab Suisse at the button on this omega model, and it doesn't seem centered either. Should say Swiss Made.
Omega logo on dial is also way too small.
Incorrect crown as well, and case is polished too

I am not THE expert for the 70ies, but IMO "based on" an 166.0202 version....Fab Suisse: I doubt too....

More likely a frankenwatch put together of parts and a repainted dial
Seller want 900€ for it? Do you think it‘s a fair Price ?

900 is too much. there are better options available. can you show the inside movement serial-nr

Absolutely not, this would be lost money even at a third of the price. I understand it might look tempting at first glance, but look at some of the details:

The lugs are completely polished through, as mentioned above. The thin gold plating is gone and what you can see in a different color is the brass underneath. The dial is likely refinished, which basically kills any value this would have to a collector. The crown is an incorrect replacement and likely not a genuine Omega part. The clasp that the seller made sure to highlight in a photograph is a cheap fake.

Now, if all those issues aren’t enough, they sure also aren’t exactly promising regarding the movement. I’d stay well clear of the watch (and the seller at that). The pics etc don’t look to me like he doesn’t know better - they look like he does.

I’m no expert by any means but does the caseback look like it’s overhanging the case in diameter?

Or is that just the side of the case? The tones are making me see what isn’t there maybe.

Look at that lug... on the flats you see a brighter color and on the edges a darker color, yes? The flats show gold plate, and on the edges, the gold plate is worn off, revealing the brass underneath.

Understandably called "brassing". this can be rectified at a cost, which can be somewhat of a hassle as well. It's better to get a case in good condition to start with. The only time a person should be messing with a damaged watch is when it was in the family... or you have money to throw away, in which case, get a good one to start with.

Ah, that's just the side of the case, I think - there's an edge there and it tapers towards the caseback.

Hi, I'm new to this site. I have a vintage Omega Seamaster, automatic, that I would like to sell, but I am having a hard time trying to find a real value for it. My uncle had bought it in the late 60's I believe. This is the band he wanted on it, I realize it's not an Omega. Most of the ones I see are Deville's. I read some info that said Seamaster's are worth more than the Deville's. Would love some help in determining a price for this, if anyone has any info! Thank you so much.

@Kayakmama
You’ll find it’s easier to get replies when you open a new thread for such questions instead of using an existing one that was originally regarding a different watch.

To find out what the market value is for it, take good pictures in daylight from all sides and the movement / inside of the caseback. Any watchmaker can help you open it. Put it on eBay, starting at 1€/$. My guess would be somewhere around 300-400€.

I thought @Kayakmama already did that (and I commented), but I can't see the thread now 😕.
