This brand is a new discovery for me, found it at the bottom of a rabbit hole that started with a Breguet Type xx
The seller indicates 100% original, and yet, it looks almost too good to be true
Anybody familiar enough with these to comment on the possibility of a redial?
    Thanks.

Dial looks correct to me, so do hands crown etc. There are many variations, all correct.
No FB service mark on the caseback but this version dates to mid-late 70’s. Fantastic build quality these Dodanes with a superb flyback column wheel movement.
If you are on Instagram contact Lars (flybacks and more) he’s the expert
    Hope that helps

Dial looks fine, but as mentioned above, I'd be a little disappointed at the absence of issued marks on the back.

    Calling @maanu and @Darlinboy .

Lol sorry typo FG Military service date engraved into caseback. Usually a date preceded by the initials FG which stands for “Fin de Garantie“

Would that signify that the watch bearing that mark was a "military watch"?

Is $4,900 an insanely high price for one of these in this condition?
    Thanks

Have you tried it on ?

I know its not the same thing but I have the Type 23 flyback. I was in my Jewlers in 2017 and we went through how I wanted it to look. I got the black coated case and bracelet and a limited edition dial etc. It arrived a few months later as I wanted it COSC (or at least the Dodane version) and instantly regretted it. I found it too tall, too heavy and in all black it looked featureless. I honestly have worn it 50 times and each time it barley lasts the full day on my wrist. I will never buy another watch without trying it on first.

That to me is why it hasn’t sold yet. The watch is a fantastic example, I should know, it was mine.
These watches are super underrated and the build spec is fantastic, but .....
as @Twocats pointed out, they, like the modern issue sit high on the wrist and that put me off the watch. I purchased an original 1970’s milsub 20mm nato for it, which unfortunately made it worse ! The later (1970’s ) “short lugged” Dodane Type 21 are a pain to fit standard 2 piece straps to as the straps usually sit snug against the case and are often too thick, NATO’s therefore are a better option but they do add further to the thickness sat on your wrist.
As a watch though, they are built to last with a butter smooth flyback chrono movement
