https://welpmagazine.com/11-best-executive-backpacks-for-the-executive-on-the-move/

I had I very nice leather satchel thing I picked up in China. Used it for years it held up well. I much prefer the look of what you guys are showing but my wife got me kinda like a “classy back pack” made by her company so it didn’t cost her much I didn’t think I’d like it but the amount of stuff you can fit in these is quite impressive. So not a recommendation but since I end up throwing my stuff in a van and running around like an idiot it’s very handy. I’m not at the level where I need to impress anyone anyway

I have a nice Vanguard ABS case but they don't make them any more.

My go-to, could I afford to spend that kind of money on something rarely used, would be Victorinox. I've gotten some of their dispontinued/used stuff on eBay and it always looks fabulous. But if you need to knock about, a hard case is the way to go, and of course for me that would be Zero Halliburton. But, again, something I would use so rarely....

That's a beauty. I also like vintage mail bags, like this one. There are dozens of these on eBay.

I have a Rawlings messenger bag (about 15 years now). Baseball glove looks. Made in USA.
Saddleback bags are awesome. Enjoy.

For me, it was a Tumi T-touch. Had been looking for one for a long time. I had a lot of requirements, but the top one was being lightweight.

I'm pretty sure its not made anymore (well over a decade old) but there were 2 versions - ballistic nylon and oiled canvas. One lift of the canvas and I took the nylon. After almost daily use for over a decade, throwing it in the occasional overhead bin on flights, etc, it still looks almost brand new.

I can't find a pic on the web, so this screenshot is *similar*, but not exactly it.

I’m in love with this thread. I own both these bags below from Ona: Olive Waxed canvas and the Cognac Leather. They are camera/every bags and I love using these for every day work. It’s been a while since I have even had a camera in them. These likely won’t be ideal for a lot of people, but just wanted to share. They hold up to 13” laptop

I swear by Property Of for bags. https://thepropertyof.com/

The compartmentalized design really helps and they last a really long time, even good for travel.

Many are made of recycled PET too which is a nice touch.

Damn Rabbit Hole this topic is 🤦

But these bags look like what Filson bags "should" be like. I've bought and sold a few Filson bags.

Filson just aren't user friendly, so to speak. Good leather and construction, but I shouldn't have to worry about stuff flailing about when I am using a bag of 'that' quality.

Check out Ruittertassen. Great bags and affordable.
I work as a guide and this one comes with me everywhere. I have owned Filson ones before but find them heavy when fully laden. The leather on these develops a lovely patina.

After a little back and forth with my friends in “Texas” I finally received FedEx tracking. As of today we are in New Delhi India. Track baby track

6/14 8:37AM local time. My bag is enjoying some in France.

After only 24 hours in France THE BAG has arrived according to my cameras. Just like Christmas when I get home today!
