Hi everyone!
I'm a newbie. I'm going to buy this watch from a local dealer but I not sure it's genuine or not.
I can't find this model elsewhere on the Internet and i notice those letter of " automatic, chrono, officially certified and Constellation" are pretty thin and smaller than other model that i've found on our forum.
I would really appreciate it to hear from you guy.
Thank you very much!

Based on two photos taken with a potato I can tell you it's a chronometer movement. That's all.

Dial looks fine to me but the corrosion on the back of the case would put me off.

Are those hand set and crown original with this model ?

Could it be gunk from old disintegrated gasket, or definitely corrosion? 600 seems like reasonable price assuming it’s running well.

Nope, that's really bad corrosion, not likely to get a proper seal even with a new gasket.

The first two pictures are really poor but the corrosion doesn't look to be in the same ballpark as the last picture.
Are we sure it is the same watch?
I know it would be some coincidence to mix up two 168.018s and it may have been serviced but, on the watch in the last pic, the movt screws are all in a different place and the regulator has been moved, plus it's on a bracelet.
(unfortunately the serial no. is too blurred on the first pic, so can't compare)

@qduy174 it would be worth checking with the seller that they are pictures of the same watch before dismissing what would be an otherwise decent watch for a decent price.
If you are local, you could even have them take the back off in front of you to check for yourself.

Hello! Sorry for a late reply, i got busy at work! So i just visited a local dealer yesterday and asked him to took the back off in front of me (and yes he admitted that he sent me a wrong picture by mistaken).
So here it is. What do you think?

Good to know.
The case does have some pitting around the gasket seat but nothing that would stop me buying the watch.
There has been some moisture intrusion - hence the verdigris on the rotor - so the movt will need a service.
It doesn’t appear to have effected the dial at all.

The only negative about the new pics is that you can’t see the facets on the lugs to see how good or bad they are.
The watch appears to have seen a little polishing but only a little.

this reference of constellation is slowly finding its place amongst collectors ( and so prices are rising)
If the lug facets are as they should be then $600 is a really good price for this watch IMHO.

+1. There are a few smaller issues but the price reflects that and, most importantly, the dial looks nice.

Used to own a pretty same watch (bought for 900 $US back in 2020 with bracelet). Crown could be replaced on OP watch photo?

Crown is the correct style on the OP watch.

The one on the watch you show looks like an incorrect replacement. ( nice condition watch though)
