    Hello OF members.

As the title suggests. I need some help identifying if this unsigned crown is correct for this reference? Or did longines not sign their crowns in 1952?

    Thanks in advance!

I think its the right crown they did have signed crowns back then. But could be wrong.

Thanks, I did hear that they started signing their crowns back in the fifties, hence why I’m asking.

This one, with a relatively close serial number, appears to have the same crown. Some other references from this period have crowns with deeper serrations. However, I think that your crown is likely correct. Regarding the crown being unsigned, that is what I would expect for circa 1952. By the mid-1950s, signed crowns became prevalent, IMO.

    Thank you for your insight!
Yes that model you referred to looks like quite similar, based on that it may be correct :)
