I think the head is worth at anywhere from $700-1100+ from the prices that I have been seeing. Not sure how much the bracelet is worth though - your best bet is to bring it to a gold scrapper.
The watch on its own is worth decent money, its a nice honest example of a well loved classic. I agree with the above suggestions though, scrap the bracelet out, or try to sell it online, someone may pay more than scrap for it if they want to put it on a solid gold constellation. Then sell the watch separately.

Ok that's what I'll do then thank you all very much for the advice.

Movement is in good, unmolested condition even if it needs a service - you just made it a lot easier to get a good price for the watch head.

Where are you? There are members in the uk who would make you an offer if you were in the eu, but i suspect you are in the us and import duty would then be an issue; but we have plenty of people just about everywhere....

Sadly I'm all the way in the California. I'll be making a sales thread in just a moment hoping to get some good offers. 馃榾

Actually, the bracelet had me fooled for a moment. Looks a lot like the ones that came on the high-end Constellation DeLuxe models in the 1960's:

I pretty much agree with the pricing information given by the other members here. Unfortunately, the highest and best use of the gold band is as recyclable material. While the case is gold-capped, there still isn't a lot of gold in the watch itself. The value is as a popular collectible.

The jeweler was either low-balling you on the value of both, or had no interest in the watch itself and would have sold it off quickly.

You need to fix your description, your watch is 14K gold cap, Omega did not make these in 18K cap.

馃槻 oops, my bad I'll change that right away. Wasn't sure about the gold on the cap.

Yep, it's 14ct gold capped and in it's current condition I'd say it would sell for $800 - $1050 if it were on an open auction on eBay.

If that bracelet is SOLID 18ct, the jeweler was trying to put one over on you. That alone must have $1200 or more in scrap value alone.
