Hi everyone,
I’m trying to identify this vintage Omega watch that belonged to a brazilian family member. It’s likely from the 1950s and features an 18k gold mesh bracelet.
Thanks in advance!

You need to post more detailed pictures for anyone to comment on this watch. It looks beautiful to me but I am no expert. Please get a watch guy to open up the back of the watch and all the information that you need for research will be inside the watch. Also detailed pictures of the bracelet clasp and hallmarks would help. Good luck.

As @peterkirk01 noted, it's difficult to say too much from the one photo, but a couple of things jump out at me. Clearly the mesh bracelet is not original to watch because it does not fit properly between the lugs. Also, one can see that the printing is not correct for the era of the watch, which means that the dial was repainted at some point, which is commonly seen for old watches.

If you can provide more information and photos from various angles it is more likely that we will be able to help you. It would be especially helpful if you could have the watch opened, and post clear photos of the movement and the inside of the caseback.

Thank you for all the help!

I was talking to my grandmother the other day about the watch, and she told me it was her father's watch — he had it ever since she was a little girl. She also mentioned that, many years ago, she had it repaired because it wasn't working, but I'm not sure if anything else was done to it. I’m planning to have it opened in a few weeks. For now, I'll leave you with more pictures of it.

After a bit more research, I think you’ve solved this one. It really looks like a re-dialed 2619 with a non-original gold mesh bracelet, probably added around 70 years ago.

Thank you again! I’ll come back to post a few more pictures once I get it opened.
