Show photos of the movement. I have gone quartz crazy this month. Quartz watches prior to about 1984 are quite repairable. There is a bit of crossover between Omega and Tissot. Once the SMH/ETA stuff started taking over in the late 1980s, they went to more plastic and less repairability. On the other hand, a lot of the parts for those have remained in the supply chains.
I have been doing a deep study (Now partially AI assisted) in the older first generation quartz that did not use plastic. There are modern ways to update the electronics. It is also looking like the older motor coils can be rewound.
