Need help identifying this “Must de Cartier” - real or fake?

Hi everyone,

I recently came across this watch being offered for sale, and I was hoping some of you might be able to help me understand what I’m looking at. I'm not a Cartier expert by any means, but this particular model struck me as rather unusual - I can’t seem to find it referenced anywhere.

Here’s the only photo I have of it (attached). It appears to be a sort of Must de Cartier Santos in a two-tone configuration with a square case, Roman numerals, and quartz movement.

I also stumbled upon what seems to be the exact same model on a Facebook group, but rather than reassuring me, it actually made me more suspicious. The overall look feels a bit off, but I might be wrong.

Would anyone here know if this is a genuine piece, or more likely a fake? Any insight, reference, or pointer would be sincerely appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for your time and expertise!

Best regards,
Alex

Wow, I had never imagined that someone would fake a must de Cartier until now. What will they fake next, Timex, Invicta?

Frankly, I wouldn't say that. At least not if you're comparing the (vintage) mechanical Must de Cartier Tank with the mechanical Tank Louis. Same movements. Sure, the Louis is solid gold and the Must is gold plated silver...
To me the Louis is ridiculously overpriced whereas the Must is fairly price.
