I'm going out on a limb, but I think that Caravelle is a men's wrist watch, gold-filled from 1970. It will need a battery and most likely much more to function as intended. Unless you are very lucky. Caravelle was the budget/economy/cheap imprint for Bulova.

Your watch is an early electro-mechanical watch from the late 1960s, a forerunner to today's all-electronic quartz watches.
