    Hi everyone,

I have been offered a Rolex Explorer 1016 from approximately 1965, unfortunately, my knowledge of vintage Rolex Explorer models is very minimal. Since there is so much knowledge available on OF, I was hoping that you guys could help me out in identifying originality of the parts on the watch. I do realize the bracelet has been replaced in the past.

All input is welcome and much appreciated! Thanks!

If that's a 1.2m serial then it's a service dial, should be a late gilt dial. Hard to tell which iteration of matte dial it is though. The earliest mattes are 1.5m and those are usually frog foot dials.
