i inherited a 1950-60 omega from my late grandfather i do not know much about it other than it is supposedly rare. Omega 17 Jewels watch. 10K body with steel back, kinetic self-winder. the serial number is 24707463 it's a 550 i posted some pics if anyone can get me some info on it that would be wonderful, also its the only one i have found that has just the omega symbol and not saying omega on the face. it has been verified by a local jeweler as factory though he does not know anything more than that

    Welcome to the forum.

Serial number dates your watch to 1966.

The dial has been improperly cleaned at some time which has removed the OMEGA printing.

This appears from your photos to be a US delivery watch and is fairly typical of the period. Many of these were not part of any particular line, like Seamaster etc.

    Unfortunately not even remotely rare.
