Need Help Identifying an Omega De Ville

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the world of watches, and I’m looking to buy my first Omega. Since I’m just starting out, I don’t have much experience in spotting authentic pieces, and unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of the mechanism right now.

I came across a watch that caught my eye: Omega De ville quartz 25mm. I’d love some advice on what key details I should look for to ensure it’s not a fake, especially when I can’t check the movement.

If you have any tips for a beginner or guidelines for authenticating a watch, I’d really appreciate your help! 😊

Thank you in advance for your advice and support!

IMHO "humble", I doubt it would be profitable enough for a company to fake an Omega DeVille 25mm Quartz, especially with trying to replicate a serial number on the case back. However, I think the same advice applies, "buy the seller not the watch". Google known examples and compare, since they may also have replacement parts. For example, the hands look off to me and I've seen them with stick hands. Though it could might as well be replacement.

Probably authentic, but should be extremely inexpensive. Cheap enough that it almost doesn't matter if it's authentic or not.

I would have thought the same thing until seeing fake Casio, Timex, Armani and fakes of other cheap fashion brands.
