hello to all; this will be a daily watch...
I like both, the PO because I can add the orange band and I know is an old 42mm but my wrist is not that big; and I like the AT because it comes with the stainless steel bracelet too...
    Which one then?
    Thanks!

I'd go for the AT as it is a lot more versatile, but it completely depends on what you want a watch for (every day, sport, suit etc) and where it fits into your collection, if you have one.

I agree that the SMP is the best Daily Seamaster. Of the two choices listed here I like the AT but that’s only because I have a small wrist and can’t wear a PO.

Get the one you like best!

I prefer the PO. I owned the bigger version of it and it looked really nice in person. Whichever you choose, try to get it on the bracelet and buy the strap after. It’s a lot cheaper than buying the bracelet afterwards.

My advice with a PO is to try it on first and see if you are comfortable with the height. I have a 42mm, and I find it a bit 'top-heavy' so it is hard to forget that I am wearing it. Vs a Speedmaster, which I barely remember I am wearing. As a result, the PO rarely gets worn.

2nd gen PO vs a current AT... pretty different watches.

What do you currently wear, and how do you plan to wear the ones you are planning to purchase?

Hello; I have an apple watch at the moment, lol and I used to have a PO 43.5mm and it was too big (last year version) with black/orange rubber band... That’s my concern with the PO that is a 2nd gen...
And I plan to wear it on a daily basis as it will be my only watch....

If your previous PO worked I’d guess the 2nd gen would work better.

I don’t wear my PO with suits.

    Hello Foo
The 8500 PO is not available at the Omega boutiques where I live and if I decide to go for it, I was looking at Authentic Watches (.com) and they have fair prices (I guess)... if I purchase from them and I need service in the future, can I take it to any Omega Boutique for warranty purposes?
    Thanks

I can’t give advice on where to buy. But if it’s still under warranty yes any OB. Not sure how long the last ones have under warranty still though.

    Hello;
Do you know if they will do any new 42mm PO this year? Or another SMP? The 50th anniversary didn’t amazed me...
    thanks
