Just been browsing the omega concession at Phuket airport.

Three green seamasters, two on bracelet, one on strap, all looking awesome. One no time to die seamaster. White dial aqua terra. A few speedmasters. No one actually working there though, so I couldn't check the prices unfortunately.

I would probably go for green Seamaster of those. However have you considered the aqua terra line? I think they are some of the most versatile and cover every scenario you presented.

Thanks. I have considered the aqua terras, the blue and green dials were my first loves. However I am now thinking that they are a bit too shiny, a bit too small as well.

I'd vote for the green Seamaster, then the Railmaster, and the summer blue a distant third. I've tried the green Seamster on and love that color.

I wouldn't wear any of them with a suit, I'm old school and would wear a proper dress watch.

One factor i forgot to mention is important for every day watch for me is... the rotating bezel. I do time events. That's one reason why I'd pick seamaster over aquaterra 99% of the time.

I have the Seamaster 300 in grey with the blue bezel. I got it in early October and have worn it almost everyday. It is a perfect everyday watch.

That was my second choice last October when I got my green Seamaster. Definitely a looker and unique among the past and current lineup.

I like the Seamaster 300M so much I bought 2. First the White and later the dark blue for summer wear. The white lives on a an Omega OEM Mesh bracelet and the blue on the blue rubber strap. However, I also have the Railmaster in black and it is the perfect travel watch that does not draw attention but can dress up or down. Of the three you are considering, I would go Green Seamaster, light blue Seamaster, then blue Railmaster.

Finally bought my first watch today. Only posting this because I hate it when people ask for advice and then don't update with what they decide to do!

After extensively looking and comparing in store, I found that I did not in the end like the appearance of the seamaster bracelet. The summer blue dial is amazing and would be my preferred choice. I also liked the 007 blue dial, but I'm not a fan of the mesh bracelet.

In the end I bought an explorer 1. Comfortable, classic, handsome appearance, hugely versatile. Perhaps a little boring, but the deep black dial is very attractive. I prefer it to the aqua terra, which I find too shiny with the polished links.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, I will buy a second watch(2 sons= I need 2 watches haha), which will almost certainly be a seamaster. I will wait and see over the next couple of years what comes out.

The Explorer is a sound choice. Mine is probably my most worn watch, and will be twenty years old this year.
Pairs nicely with a Speedmaster…

Thank you. Do you have both? I think I will choose a non-black dial for my second watch.

Yeah, I got both new back when prices were a bit less eye-watering.

I’ve also got a quartz Seamaster 300 that I’ve had since about 2001, blue wave dial.

My three favourites, and gives me a good variety - one automatic, one manual, one quartz. A diver and a chronograph. Black and blue dials…

Thanks for the reply. Those two watches have never really grabbed me for whatever reason.

I do need something that can work with a shirt and tie(my daily work outfit), sometimes a suit, but also weekend wear with kids, wife and friends. I'm leaning towards the green seamaster right now.
IMHO your gut is correct; the green is the way to. Enjoy!

Congratulations! If I were a 1 watch person black dial would win by a mile. Classic, versatile, understated.

Well, the good news is you can now add a Speedmaster Professional and a different coloured watch face at the same time.
Could be the perfect combination with your Explorer.
