Hello, I am looking at this watch: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273182331378?ul_noapp=true
It seems that everything is original, but the glass.
I really like it, but would like to ask you if you can spot something fishy or anything else I should be aware of?
Thank you!

How about posting some photos instead of just a link?

At over $950.00 US, price is nearing Constellation territory, it's way overpriced in my opinion.

I certainly have intention to lower the price before buying, but just want to know as much about watch as I can. Because I am pretty new at this.

Edit: The dial looks pretty clean, seller says it has not been restored or repainted. Any thoughts on that?

Dial is original but this is an entry level piece so I'd want the price to come down a good bit.

Looks legit, and in nice condition with a desirable movement. I agree that the price needs to come down quite a bit.

Nice clean original watch but overpriced by perhaps a factor of 2. Without meaning to be rude, this was near the bottom rung of the Omega ladder back in ~1971 or so when it was new. The movement is nice, having a 552 is a plus as most have manual wind 613s or similar, but the rest is pretty basic. I have had a couple and sold them on for a few hundred quid.

ps I am a little suspicious of the 35mm jumbo claim, I am pretty sure these are no bigger than 34mm.

Just wait it out - you’ll find similar nice examples on auction for much less $, even with service cost added in.

Thank you very much guys. About the size, I think I have seen a couple of 35mm with this case number, so I guess they did make it?

As people have said, the watch is solid. Just as a gauge, I sell similar Seamaster in a shop, serviced with a warranty for a little over half the asking on that Geneve.

I hate criticising selling prices because we all have to eat and you must factor in the price the dealer paid; servicing costs; overheads; taxes' and, the warranty cost. For me, selling is more of a hobby that's become a second income so maybe I'm a little light but others seem to agree too.

I am looking at this one too. Are those small white dots on a dial or glass?
And why do you think it is much better?

They are on the dial. It's minor bubbling that IMO isn't enough to be a problem. The fineness of design and quality of manufacture of the case and dial are what makes it better for me. And, of course, the magic word "Seamaster" on the dial! That said, I think at £411 it's already near the top of its game. ETA: it's an early one too with that "S".

Those dots are mostly on the dial. There are some marks on the glass. Look at the position of one particular dot at a time in different photos. I focused on the one below the M. You'll see some dots don't move when viewed from different angles while others do. The stationary ones are on the dial.

The case design on the Geneve is basic and utilitarian. No bezel, uninteresting lugs, etc. Not as appealing, but still potentially worth having at the right price, primarily because of the condition and the good movement. Good entry-level collectible.

The Seamaster just completed at £520 including postage. That's slightly more than I'd want to pay but it's a classic watch and these are getting scarce now. It's certainly a better deal than that Geneve at £695. Not that there is anything wrong with the later Geneve line, but on the whole "utilitarian" describes them well.

This one was just sold for 512 gbp. It was too fast for me to pull the trigger on it this time. Not enough time to do some more research.
