Need help - bumper

Hi, I'm looking to purchase this bumper to be my only bumper in my collection - got burned before with a redial franken watch of the same vintage so I'd just want to hear your opinion if this is a good buy for 600ish bucks and what is good and what is bad on this one.

Thanks!

@Aquariusmatic
Whilst we wait on some the resident experts.
To me it looks very attractive, I don't have any bumper so can offer nothing other than my opinion.

Wish you all the best on the hunt for a good bumper.

Do you have pictures of the movement and inside of the caseback?

None, can't really ask for them. There is a money back guarantee.

Thanks, It's been a journey and I'm not quite there yet but this piece if members chime in and push me over the edge could be "IT".

Looks like a very nice example, but photos of the inside would be needed to be sure.

Looks good to me. Case slightly but nicely polished. Hands and crown look okay to me but there are many more expert than I am so wait for their views.
Would be good to get sight of the movement as has been said but the dial looks reasonable for one of these 60-70 year old watches. You often find that photos highlight marks you don’t even notice once it’s on your wrist.
Price of $400-500 is my best guess but I’d go up a bit if I could see the inside and/or if the seller had had it serviced and could provide a copy of the service invoice.

Looks good from what is visible so far, the only flaw I'm noticing is the lume loss in the hands. It's unfortunate, but they can be re-lumed to match the dial if you choose.

Now THIS watch has some real promise. As long as the movement looks good I don't see how you could go wrong around the price you quoted. 👍

You and I are looking for the same thing. I want one bumper but I'm in no rush. The one you have your eye on looks very promising. Good luck.

Agree 100% If the movement is as clean as the rest of the watch, I would happily buy it for that price. I don't think it is a especially good price, but is hard to find nice examples of these.

If anyone disagrees with me, tell me where to find nice examples at reasonable prices. (pm is fine). 😉

I closed the deal, the watch is serviced and comes with service papers from an Omega accredited watchmaker in Europe. Box and strap with Omega clasp are also part of the deal.
Gave 550$ in the end. Will be getting the watch during the weekend or early next week. I'd gladly overpay for such a watch as the first franken I've got was so bad I parted it out and sold it on ebay for parts.

Congratulations, 550$ for that with newly service + omega buckle is a bargain. I would pay more than that any day 😀

With a recent documented service from an Omega accredited watchmaker, I will call it a great price. Congrats, and enjoy your new watch!

Tell me it doesn’t look even better now you’re wearing it than it did in the seller's photos. It looks great in your post.

Yea isn't that often the case? Pictures don't always do justice to these oldies.

It sure does! After getting this on my hand I've seen how bad rushing and not doing your homework can be.
