Need advice on a strap for my Omega DeVille

So I have an Omega Deville Cal 861 (looks like the pic below although thats not mine).
I bought it a few years ago with money given to me from my Grandads passing. I wanted to buy somethign I would remember him by.
The watch doesn't have a genuine bracelet, so I want to put a blue alligator stra on it as I think they look really smart and having seen a pic somewhere of this strap on this watch I thought it worked really well.

However, sourcing a strap is a bit of a nightmare so I need some help. I found these guys, who can also sell the 16mm Omega buckle for it, and in comparison to OMegas site seem quite reasonable, but conscious of the many many fakes out there.

Anyone offer any advice on decent strap resellers?

Thanks very much

Steve

I think the best solution is to buy a 14/16 original vintage buckle and find an handmade strap with your taste.
It s not so simple to catch a 19 mm good strap, but u can try on eBay.

I also think that the best solution will be a handmade strap with a buckle bought on auction on eBay..Regards.

I buy watches to wear, not for the safe or for investment and I get almost as much pleasure buying and fitting an aftermarket buckle as from having an original buckle.

No one’s ever said to me, “Nice watch, but let me see the buckle”. It’s entirely a personal whim.
