This watch has a lot of good lessons.

the big red flag, apart from the white markers, incorrect bezel, service pushers - is the miss matched colours in the movement.

I would be amazed if this watch got an extract - if and when they start doing them again.

almost certainly this watch was built up from parts from many different sources.

that said, everything has a value, even this, and the end result will be a wearable watch that will give pleasure.

the trick will be resist the temptation to correct it, one little piece at a time.

that road is the way to madness….

Thank you all for the help. I'm learning a lot through this. My intention has always been to wear the watch and I knew that this wasn't an all correct collector piece. I didn't notice the color mismatch before it was pointed out though. The dial still has some lume left on it. The 1 and 2 o'clock indices lost the most lume. I'll get it serviced so I can start wearing it without worrying. I got the thought of getting an extract once they are available again out of my head.
I'm curious what @ndgal has to say about the case. Reading his blog post the correct case for a late 105.012-65 should be a MK1, correct?

My theory is that the watch got serviced during the 70ies as it also has, according to MWO, a 70ies crystal installed. Does anyone know at what time frame the replacement wide and short pushers without the fat neck first appeared?

Thank you all for the great insights and all the help!

You could be right.

However if I was buying, my money would be it being a watch assembled from many sources.
