It was pretty nice here in Trondheim, Norway. 93% covered. A bit cloudy so we drove a bit and got a nice view. I actually though it would be darker with only 7% left of the sun, but I guess the eye compensates pretty good for the loss in light.

I lived in Trondheim for 5 years and Bergen for 11. Not the sunniest place in the world but no where near as bad as Bergen when it comes to the rain

Cloudy but still visible in Drammen, Norway.
A cool fun fact is that it happens at the spring solstice. If one was at the North Pole you would see the sun rise above the horizon for the first time in 6 months yet covered by the moon.
It is claimed that this will not happen again in another few thousand years from now.
    HAGWE!

I was a bit disappointed to be honest it could be best described as an overcast part of the day. Maybe the cloud cover muted the whole experience.

Ok hands up, I am turning in to a bit of an old grump but our media has been blasting this "great event" at us for days now as if there is nothing else happening in the world and that alone dulled the whole event for me.

I can see the headline now.

Grumpy Scot: Media Circus Overshadows Eclipse

    Very meta.

I spent a summer in Bergen working in a hostel. I loved every minute of it. Beautiful country. Beautiful city. Don't remember much rain.
