Was this a planned lunch date or are we witnessing petty larceny?

A pair of hornbills just outside the colonial British building in which I was doing ISO quality audit today. Singapore, near Changi village. Sorry for the bad phone pictures.

It's bad enough that they allow the neighboring ranchers to graze their cattle on our city open space all summer, making a huge mess, eroding the trails and creating new game trails everywhere.

But now, the city is offering to pay for cows to graze within subdivisions for fire mitigation. So the HOA near us too the city up on the offer and they moved them in for the weekend, with temporary electric fencing. It's so absurd.

Tonight, I walked Max around the little walkways, and this was about two dozen cows on about an acre of land. They brought them in using trailers, and of course they needed to bring in huge watering troughs and water. It would have made a lot more sense just to subsidize mowing the area. Or maybe goats.

And I bet they won’t clean up the “leftovers” when the cows leave.

Nesting in a flower pot at ground level at the busiest corner. Three eggs under her.

How in the world would a snail end up 50 cm of the ground in this weed? It was not alone either, so this must be some all terrain 4X4 mountaineering snails.

Snails often have parasites that make them climb to visible spots for predators to eat the snails and propagate the parasites.
Can be seen in the eyes of the snails sometimes.

I took a couple more pictures of the glacier deposit. A cop tried to give me a hard time about flying over a reservoir. I reminded him the reservoir is a mile from where I was filming.

I kept it civil as you can’t win with these @Duracuir1 types when they are power tripping. He acted like he was writing up a ticket but he had no authority. The FAA handles the laws of the air. Luckily I have two license for flying and I keep one rule book with me. I brought him over my license and showed him the passage about this being an FAA call.

He still wasn’t happy but then noticed my work ID and mini @Duracuir1 started asking me work questions and dropped the tough guy stuff.

I am very careful about the rules of drone flying as I don’t want the hobby banned. Anyway the cop had someone that needs shelter I can help him. In return I’m more than welcome to do my legal flying and hiking activities in my legal spot like I did before I met this guy.

He did give me permission to take off and land in one of our towns state parks which is technically a no no. In the end he was decent maybe he had a fight with his wife or some event that put him in a grumpy mood, it happens to all of us.

We saw this little bear and their sibling on our walk today. I could not get a very good photo unfortunately.

No probs. Mama bear would probably have hindered any closer photography.
