Worcester cathedral has pair of nesting peregrine falcons with chicks. They return almost every year, so they’ve installed a webcam. They’re about 100 ft up, so close enough for my 600mm lens.
Great shots!! Could hear the distinctive calls of Peregrines at the Barbican the other, they're also nesting but didn't get to see them.
I read an article about this, recently. The number of breeding pairs of peregrines, in Greater London, has increased ten-fold in 25 years. The only other city that has more urban peregrines is New York.
Bear in the neighborhood.
We had one yesterday in friggin Monterey! I know they are on our flag and all, but there hasnt been a bear sighting on the central coast in ages.
