·At a very large exhibition in Frankfurt Messe right in the centre of the exhibition halls (largest in the world apparently) there was a female Mallard with her ducklings avoiding the feet of many thousands of "giants" around her. Did not seem fazed at all. Gotta be adaptable if you're a Mallard 😉

Yes, we can take them for granted as they're so common but they're amazing.. Males can get very competitive when in season, so much so that they can tend to gang around a female and sadly can sometimes drown in their exuberance.
Never been to Dusseldorf but I'd love to go and visit the Rheinturm telecom tower.. Did you get to visit it?
It has to be my favourite of Cold War era telecoms Towers, with a post office tower type revolving restaurant near the top, I have a modest collection of architectural models and actually own a heavy brass model of the Dusseldorf Rheinturm

·Worcester cathedral has pair of nesting peregrine falcons with chicks. They return almost every year, so they’ve installed a webcam. They’re about 100 ft up, so close enough for my 600mm lens.
